Our New Home

Ethan Stands!!

Back In Texas!!

Well, it's been a while since Father's Day and a lot has changed, so I'll do my best to catch up! Here are our Halloween pictures. Ellie was a ladybug and Ethan was a monkey. Ethan was asleep before our trick or treating was over and Ellie decided that this was a home tour as opposed to a great time to get candy, and just walked right in to the homes of several of our unsuspecting neighbors. Thank goodness they were friendly! I'm sure next year will be even more exciting.

Father's Day

For Father's Day this year we had a BBQ for the dads in our little group. Our friends came over with their families and we got to have a nice get together (Father's Day was a good excuse!) before heading our separate ways. Here are some pictures of the kids playing in the water. These were much cuter than the pictures of the adults!!

Ethan is sitting!!

Today Ethan and Ellie played together while Ethan sat up and interacted with her. We are so excited to watch him grow and meet all of those milestones. A special thank you to all of you who have been praying for our little guy!

Grant's Farm

The family went to Grant's Farm a couple of weekends ago. We were able to get through the entire park between morning nap and lunch...what a great place! We got to ride the tram and see lots of cool animals too!

Ellie was quite taken with the llama's and the camels. She didn't know what to think about that llama eating right out of her hand.

Ellie was a little hesitant at first but decided giving milk to a goat was pretty great!

Ethan wasn't nearly as impressed.

Aaron's Graduation

We were blessed to have Aaron's Uncle Johnny, Aunt Lois, and cousin Seth here to join us for Aaron's graduation. Ellie and Seth were able to bond over their shared excitement of capturing our elusive black cat, Sabby. Thanks for coming guys!! Even though he still has one more class to complete this culminating activity gave us some closure on this chapter in our lives. We're excited to be looking ahead toward the ministry God has for us in Pearland!

Call Day

I apologize in advance for the amount of time between posts. It's been a whirlwind here!! We officially found out on April 22nd that we will be moving to Pearland Texas and Aaron will be the Pastor at Epiphany Lutheran Church. My parents were sweet enough to come up for this exciting event! We were so happy to have them here with us. Aaron was very excited to get a hand made communion box with all of the communionware from them. (you'll see it in the pictures!)We are unbelievably excited and ready to begin this new chapter in our lives. Aaron and I were able to fly down to Pearland for a day and find a house, which we're in the process of buying, and now we are packing....AGAIN!!! We cannot express how wonderful it is to pack knowing we can move and unpack EVERYTHING and actually create our home. Here are some pictures from call day.

Ellie's Easter Joy

Everyday, but especially today, we praise our Father for the gift of His Son and the forgiveness He offers us through the resurrection of Jesus. Ellie shared in this excitement as she danced her heart out after church.

Easter Morning

For Easter it is a tradition to make Easter Nests/Baskets the day before with grass and flowers. The flowers are planted at Thanksgiving. This year we used tulips. Then we place the nests in baskets and put them in the living room. In the morning when the kids wake up they're full of Easter goodies. It was so cute to see Ellie actually understand what was going on this year. When she saw all of her Easter gifts she just started tearing through the basket...then of course she saw Ethan's and helped him discover all of his new toys. There were toys, books, and even money in eggs from Aunt Kalen and Uncle Joe. A couple of things were from mommy and daddy, but of course there were some items from the Easter Bunny! Unfortunately this was a busy time of morning and we videotaped instead of taking pictures, so I'm sorry we can't share pictures, but we do have the rest of our day captured on camera! Ellie and Ethan got their Easter outfits from Grandma and Grandpa Robinson this year and they are adorable! Thanks to everyone who helped make this Easter so special.

Easter Day

We spent our Easter with friends of ours from the Seminary. It's so wonderful to be surrounded by such close friends when family is far away. The Kalbas Family began the day by going to church with our friends Andrew, Daisy, and Miriam. In the afternoon everyone came over to our house for an Easter Egg Hunt, time to visit with each other, and some yummy supper made by my husband the chef!!

What's So Funny?

These are just a few pictures (and video) that make us smile. We recently discovered that Ethan bursts out into full belly laughter when you tickle his thighs. We hope you enjoy these as much as we do!

Getting to Know You

Our little angels are finally realizing the other baby in the house is actually a playmate - not a mommy/daddy stealer. Ellie will actually run to Ethan when he starts crying and offer him a pacifier (sometimes his, but usually hers!). She sits down with him when we put him in the bumbo and will touch him and talk to him. She also likes to play with him, and his toys, when he's on his playmat. As you can see in the pictures, they now take their bath together which is easier for us and more fun for them. Ethan watches Ellie constantly. I just know once he can walk they're going to be running around together all day. I can't wait!
